Member Service Representative
(Part Time)

Family First of NY Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a part-time Member Service Representative (MSR) to work in our three branch locations; Webster, Penfield and Perinton.  Reports directly to the Branch Manager and is part of the Sales and Service team. 

At Family First our MSRs are our primary contact with our members on a daily basis.  MSRs must work to meet member’s financial needs and service expectations in a friendly, professional manner while working in compliance with established policies and procedures.  As part of the branch team, MSRs must demonstrate the attributes of a team player. 

Comprehensive loan and deposit product knowledge is beneficial, basic credit skills and proven sales skills preferred.  Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication and computer skills.  A two- year business degree is preferred.  Must be flexible, able to work Saturdays and work from all branch locations. 

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Reports To:        President/CEO

                          Lending Manager                                           

GENERAL FUNCTION

Responsible for providing fiscal leadership, as well as the oversight of all financial areas of the Credit Union, including Accounting, Collections, Mortgage Lending, Consumer Lending, and Business Lending.   Develops and maintains a budgeting process based on achieving organizational goals, and conducts profitability analysis on all levels within the credit union. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Financial analysis for the credit union, including but not limited to pricing of all credit union product/services and ROI analysis of promotional campaigns;
  2. Ensure maximum profitability of lending products that also correspond with the best interests of the members.  Oversee and monitor performance standards for the loan and financial areas, recommending new product offerings as appropriate;
  3. Assume responsibility for development and presentation of the Annual Budget in conjunction with the strategic objectives set forth in the Annual Business Plan;
  4. Assume the lead role in the ALCO Committee, working with our ALM vendor to develop quarterly analysis, and make recommendations for action plans to maintain an appropriate level of risk within the Balance Sheet;
  5. Oversee compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements throughout the credit union;
  6. Maintain appropriate policies for all financial and lending areas, included but not limited to: Interest Rate Risk Policy, Lending Policy, Business Lending Policy, Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses Policy, Purchasing Policy, and Collections/Charge-off policies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. 4-Year Degree in Accounting or Finance;
  2. CPA/MBA strongly preferred;
  3. Minimum of 5-7 years experience managing fiscal operations in a financial institution, with at least  3 years in a supervisory capacity;
  4. Required experience in Market Analysis, Financial Forecasting, Strategic Direction, and Project Management;
  5. Proficiency with MS Office products.

Systems Specialist
(Full Time)

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Support credit union’s core processing system by providing system enhancements, report generation, problem resolution and system maintenance.  Participate in information systems (IS) projects with management, users, IS staff and vendors.  Support internal clients with continual analysis of systems with focus on adding value to or streamlining processes; backup for critical applications and systems. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Act as the key technical liaison between end-users and vendors
    • Serve as an information resource for client users
      • Determination of most appropriate data source
      • Providing or arranging application-based report writing, or educate users to retrieve the information. 
    • Serve as the primary contact for Symitar and FICS applications
    • Act as primary contact for problem resolution
    • Monitor user proficiency in applications and provide on-going support.
  • Maintain systems
    • Perform system updates and patches as necessary
      • Test and debug all processes and systems before moving to the live directory.
      • Ensure that all system updates are communicated to users. 
    • Analyze, debug, test, and document problems or recommend solutions that involve new applications.
    • Update online scripts to reflect any resulting changes in systems, departmental procedures, or polices. 
  • Participate in projects for in-house development or implementation of vendor-based automated systems. 
    • Responsible for assigned technical aspects of releases, file expansions, and interfaces.
  • Backup for duties related to the management and support of the Local Area Network/Wide Area Network environment, PC hardware/software, applications, equipment, security system, phone system and website maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management.  

EDUCATION

Education and experience equivalent to four years of college as a minimum.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Minimum two years of similar or related experience a plus
Technical knowledge of Information Systems, core computer systems and Local/Wide Area Network environment.
Understanding of structured programming techniques
Experience with systems analysis and functional design
Experience with documentation and problem resolution
Must be detailed oriented
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Good Interpersonal skills
Good oral and written communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

Must be able to climb a step stool to reach high places
